Product Domains Ubuntu Platform – Desktop, Server, Windows (WSL), Multipass, Gaming, Enterprise and Hardware Enablement Ubuntu Pro Services – Commercial offerings such as Ubuntu Pro, Compliance, Standards, Security Engineering and Managed Services AI/ML & MLOps – Open‑source AI/ML solutions, AIOps automation, model lifecycle management, Kubeflow, MLFlow, KServe and infrastructure on cloud/edge IoT – Ubuntu on embedded devices/edge servers, device management and robotics Cloud – Public and private cloud, automation frameworks, Kubernetes, MAAS and LXD Telco – Open‑source for core network, RAN/vRAN, SoNIC, DENT and SmartNICs Finance – Trading platforms, blockchain, regulatory compliance and AI analytics Automotive – Autonomous driving, infotainment, connected vehicles and ISO 26262/21434 compliance Application Management – Observability, IAM, App Stores, Grafana, GitOps, Juju Charms Role Responsibilities Lead the full product development lifecycle, setting strategy, vision and prioritisation. Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on roadmap and ensure timely delivery. Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities. Communicate product vision, status and key decisions to stakeholders, managing expectations. Perform usability testing, analyse feedback and iterate to improve user experience. Partner with marketing, sales and support to create go‑to‑market strategies, documentation and training. Support the sales team in winning new opportunities and participate in customer meetings. Oversee product line execution, ensuring consistency across teams. Resolve cross‑functional conflicts and facilitate collaboration. Qualifications Exceptional academic results at high school and university. Strong understanding of Linux and the open‑source community. Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacentres, cloud or devices. Passion for writing about technologies and the tech landscape. Strong work ethic, curiosity and continuous learning mindset. Ownership mindset and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. For senior roles, prior product management experience in the software industry. Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritising key objectives. Demonstrated leadership in aligning diverse teams and driving consensus. Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year, up to two weeks per event. Additional Skills We Value Familiarity with verticals such as Telco, Finance, Industrial, Automotive. Awareness of ecosystem players – silicon, IHV, ISV, ODM/OEM, cloud service providers and channel partners. Proficiency with cloud‑native technologies – Kubernetes, Docker containers, Snaps. Experience with embedded and connected device ecosystems. Knowledge of networking technologies – Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6, routing, firewalling, OVN/OVS, VPNs, SR‑IOV, InfiniBand. Experience leading distributed teams across time‑zones. Foster collaboration and innovation in team settings. What We Offer Distributed work environment with twice‑yearly in‑person sprints.
