Research Area: Organic Chemistry | Organic Synthesis | Molecular Engineering | Organic Electronics | Optoelectronic Materials | Materials Chemistry

Moltech Anjou Laboratory, CNRS × University of Angers, France is inviting applications for a 1-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Molecular Engineering of Tricycloquinazolines (TCQs).

The project focuses on the chemistry of tricycloquinazolines (TCQs), a unique family of nitrogen-containing polycyclic aromatic compounds with promising optoelectronic properties. The selected candidate will design and synthesize new TCQ derivatives and investigate their optical, electrochemical, and solid-state properties.

What You’ll Work On

Molecular Design & Organic Synthesis

Design and synthesize new tricycloquinazoline (TCQ) derivatives for the development of advanced functional organic materials.

Explore the structure and chemical modification of TCQ compounds to develop new molecular systems with tailored properties.

Optical Characterization

Investigate the optical properties of newly synthesized TCQ derivatives.

Electrochemical Studies

Study the electrochemical behavior and properties of TCQ-based compounds.

Solid-State Characterization

Analyze the solid-state properties of the synthesized materials to understand their structure-property relationships.

Interdisciplinary Research

Collaborate with researchers in theoretical chemistry and device physics to gain a broader understanding of the behavior and potential applications of these materials.

Organic Electronics Applications

Contribute to research aimed at establishing TCQs as a versatile molecular platform for future applications in organic electronics and functional materials.

Applicants should have:

  • A PhD with excellent expertise in organic synthesis.
