Applications Specialist AFM – Oxford Instruments GmbH Location: Les Ulis, FranceBusiness Unit: Asylum Research Role Overview We are looking for an Applications Specialist AFM to join our Applications team. The role is based in Les Ulis, France with frequent travel to customers across the EU. Ideal qualifications and motivation Want to contribute as an in-house AFM expert, providing technical expertise and support both internally and externally Passionate about developing and communicating new applications and techniques Have experience and extensive knowledge of the theory and operation of AFMs Responsibilities Plan and execute best‑in‑class demonstrations and application work for AFM related products (incl. sample preparation) Compile comprehensive and sales‑supportive reports in a timely manner Perform customer trainings Join joint customer meetings with relevant members of the organisation Proactively visit and support customers in alignment with leadership Support running workshops, webinars, and hands‑on sessions Support creating marketing material in the form of application notes, blog posts and others; support development of marketing specifications for new product solutions through Voice of Customer Ensure feedback of market intelligence and potential product enhancements to all relevant members of the organisation Support the testing of prototype products and relevant analysis for market usability/suitability and providing feedback to the relevant members of the organisation Proactively log daily activities Facilitate a clean and safe working environment Undertake any other tasks or responsibilities in line with the scope and level of responsibility of the post, which might be reasonably required Equal Opportunities and Reasonable Adjustments Oxford Instruments is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
