Description de poste Our client is an international Spanish chemical company specializing in FLAVOURS for the food industry, with a manufacturing plant near Paris. With an international presence in over 60 countries, its constantly expanding support service benefits from a team of technical specialists who offer recommendations and customized solutions for various industrial processes. Currently We are looking for an experienced : SITE MANAGER 1. Purpose of the Role The Site Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, and continuous improvement of the flavour manufacturing site. This includes ensuring safe, efficient, compliant, and cost-effective operations across production, maintenance, HSE, HR, quality, and administrative functions. The role ensures the site operates according to corporate standards, French regulatory requirements, and customer expectations, while fostering a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Site Leadership & Management Provide strategic and operational leadership for all site functions (Production, Maintenance, HSE, Quality, HR, Administration). Develop and execute the site’s operational plan in alignment with company goals. Manage site budget (OPEX & CAPEX), cost control, and productivity KPIs. Lead and develop the site leadership team; ensure capability building and succession planning. Represent the site with local authorities, auditors, external stakeholders. B. Production & Operations Management Ensure efficient planning, scheduling, and execution of production activities to meet customer demand. Drive continuous improvement programs (Lean, 5S, TPM, Kaizen). Ensure asset utilization, productivity, and reliability targets are met. Oversee inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse operations when applicable. C. Maintenance & Engineering Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance plans for equipment, utilities, and infrastructure. Ensure equipment reliability and plant availability through structured maintenance programs. Manage technical projects (capacity expansion, equipment upgrades, automation). Ensure compliance with French regulations related to equipment and industrial installations. D. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Guarantee that the site meets all regulatory requirements (ICPE, ATEX, fire safety, waste management). Promote a strong safety culture and ensure implementation of company HSE standards. Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Monitor environmental performance and support sustainability initiatives. E. Quality & Compliance Ensure that all products are manufactured in compliance with ISO, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and customer standards. Oversee quality assurance, quality control, and traceability processes. Support audits (internal, customer, regulatory) and ensure timely action plans. Drive continuous improvement in quality systems and food safety culture. F. Human Resources & Site Administration Ensure proper HR management in collaboration with corporate HR: recruitment, training, workforce planning, IR/works council (CSE) relations. Promote a positive social climate aligned with French labour law. Oversee site administrative functions, including security, facility services, and general services. Foster communication, engagement, and cultural alignment across the site. 3. Profile & Qualifications Education Engineering degree or Master’s in Industrial Management, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or equivalent. Experience 8–15+ years of experience in operations, production, or site management, ideally within the flavour, food ingredients, chemicals, or process industries. Proven management experience in a French industrial environment. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations (ICPE, food safety, ATEX). Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Skills Leadership and people development. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (batch production, mixing, compounding). Deep knowledge of quality and food safety systems. Analytical mindset, KPI-driven, continuous improvement orientation. Fluent French; English proficiency required. 4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Safety performance (TRIR, near-miss reporting, audit scores) Quality KPI (customer complaints, right-first-time) On-time delivery and service level Productivity and cost performanceMaintenance KPIs (OEE, downtime, preventive maintenance completion) Employee engagement and turnover Regulatory compliance (audit results, ICPE compliance) We offer the opportunity to join an internationally expanding industrial group.
