This leadership role is critical to strengthening our delivery excellence, building scalable and repeatable solutions, and elevating our consulting brand through innovation and technical depth. The ideal candidate combines deep experience in enterprise architecture, a background in a mid‑size to global consulting organization, hands‑on software development expertise, and the ability to define best‑in‑class practices across cloud, application, and AI‑enabled transformation initiatives. Ideal Candidate Profile You’ve led software and architecture practices within professional services organizations, developed reusable frameworks, and delivered transformative solutions for enterprise clients. You are equally comfortable guiding technical discovery with a CIO as you are reviewing design decisions with a senior engineer. You know how to build capability, set architectural standards, and lead with both strategic vision and technical credibility. Key Responsibilities Establish and lead the Software and Architecture Practice, including team structure, capability roadmap, and delivery standards. Define and institutionalize architectural frameworks, reusable patterns, and reference implementations for client engagements. Lead hiring, onboarding, and technical enablement for architects, engineers, and consulting technologists. Develop training, certification, and upskilling programs to drive continuous improvement and scalability. Create delivery playbooks and intellectual property that enhance consistency across engagements. Own enterprise architecture strategy across key accounts, ensuring alignment with client business goals and technical vision. Guide technical teams in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, cloud‑native architectures. Set architectural standards across cloud (Azure/AWS), application development, DevOps, and integration layers. Ensure alignment between discovery, delivery, and operational readiness. Lead architecture reviews, technical governance, and cross‑functional collaboration. Client‑Facing Consulting and Pre‑Sales Partner with sales and account leadership to shape technical solutions and proposals for enterprise clients. Participate in discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and roadmap creation. Lead technical solutioning during RFPs, SOW development, and new business acquisition. Represent the firm in executive‑level discussions to articulate architectural value and technical strategy. Innovation, AI, and Thought Leadership Drive the integration of emerging technologies—including AI, automation, and modern cloud patterns—into client and internal solutions. Guide clients through modernization initiatives, platform re‑engineering, and technology evaluations. Serve as a visible thought leader internally and externally through strategic advisory, content, and public engagement. Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and architectural rigor within the consulting organization. Technical Recruitment and Talent Strategy Design and implement rigorous evaluation processes for senior engineers and architects. Calibrate internal technical interviewers to uphold hiring standards. Support workforce planning, capability forecasting, and global practice growth. Required Qualifications 7+ years in consulting leadership roles such as Practice Leader, Enterprise Architect, or Director of Technology in a professional services firm. Background in a mid‑size to global consulting organization, with experience driving technical strategy and client delivery excellence. Proven ability to define and govern enterprise architecture across cloud, data, integration, and application domains. Hands‑on engineering experience across modern tech stacks including .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, React/Angular. Expertise in Azure and/or AWS ecosystems including cloud‑native services, PaaS, and infrastructure automation. Deep experience with microservices, CI/CD, DevOps tooling, and security‑first architecture. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence C‑level stakeholders and technical teams alike.
