This role will be critical in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of our accounting and financial reporting processes. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Technical Accounting Manager will be hands‑on in complex accounting matters, intercompany transactions, multi‑entity consolidation, and financial reporting under both French GAAP and IFRS. This position requires someone with exceptional work ethic, strong technical expertise, and a proactive “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” attitude. The ideal candidate must have a strong sense of urgency, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and deadlines are met without compromising quality. They should take pride in delivering high‑quality financial reporting, possess strong research skills, and demonstrate curiosity, discipline, and dedication in their work. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with French GAAP and IFRS. Research and apply accounting standards, bridging differences between French GAAP and IFRS. Oversee multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation, including intercompany eliminations. Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Support the Director of Accounting in external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Leadership & Team Management Supervise and mentor direct reports, providing guidance on technical accounting matters and professional development. Foster a collaborative and high‑performing team culture. Set clear expectations, delegate responsibilities effectively, and provide regular feedback. Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and internal controls. Internal Controls & Process Improvement Assist in implementing and improving internal controls, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Identify process gaps and drive improvements, including automation and ERP optimization. Work closely with cross‑functional teams to align financial reporting processes with operational needs. Intercompany & Consolidation Manage intercompany transactions, ensuring proper reconciliation and eliminations. Support global consolidation, working with the Group Finance team on reporting requirements. Handle foreign exchange adjustments and ensure proper accounting for multi‑currency transactions. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 3-4 years of audit experience, preferably from a Big 4 or top‑tier firm. DEC (Diplôme d’Expertise Comptable) highly desired – Candidates should either hold the designation or be actively pursuing it. Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands‑on experience in French GAAP and IFRS. Proven experience in multi‑entity, multi‑currency consolidation and intercompany eliminations. Ability to conduct accounting research and apply GAAP standards effectively. Strong understanding of internal controls and financial reporting best practices. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with high attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, handling multiple priorities efficiently. Language & Additional Skills Fluent in French and English (required). Chinese language skills are preferred but not required, given frequent collaboration with our team in China. Experience working in a multinational corporation with complex reporting structures is preferred. Strong ERP experience (Experience with Navision or Microsoft 365 F&O is a plus).
