Offer Description

Levitation of particles in Paul traps

Trapping a particle in a Paul trap
Characterization of the particle's spin

The position is based at LPENS within the Nano-Optics team. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Gabriel Hétet, in close interaction with members of the team and other research groups within the laboratory.

The Nano-Optics team conducts research at the interface of nano-optics, photonics, and quantum physics, combining experimental and theoretical approaches.

The successful candidate will collaborate with researchers, faculty members, engineers, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers within the team, as well as with scientific partners involved in the research projects.

The position offers an interdisciplinary research environment, fostering interactions between the laboratory's different research areas.

The candidate should be proficient in confocal microscopy, which is essential for reading the photoluminescence of NV centers. They should also be familiar with NV-center spin detection techniques in diamond and with the physics of cross-relaxation between electron spins
