Transport Manager – EPC / Energy Projects
International EPC / Energy environment
We are currently looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join a major international EPC project within the Energy sector.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall coordination and management of project transportation activities, from transport strategy and tendering through to execution and shipment follow-up.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Project Transportation Strategy and Transport Plans
- Plan transportation activities in accordance with the overall project schedule
- Coordinate international transportation of project equipment and materials
- Manage and coordinate freight forwarders and transportation service providers
- Ensure shipment follow-up and coordination with the different project stakeholders
- Manage transport interfaces with Procurement, Suppliers, Logistics and other project functions
- Ensure compliance with applicable Incoterms and international transportation requirements
- Prepare and manage Transport ITBs / tender packages
- Review and evaluate transportation offers
- Prepare and/or contribute to Technical Bid Tabulations (TBT)
- Participate in the selection of transport service providers
- Coordinate and monitor selected contractors throughout project execution
- Ensure transportation activities are performed in line with project requirements, schedule and contractual commitments
Required Profile
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Transport and/or Logistics Management
- Significant experience specifically within EPC projects
- Strong knowledge of international transportation and freight forwarding
- Experience managing transport contractors / freight forwarders
- Good understanding of Incoterms
- Experience with transport tendering, ITBs and bid evaluation
- Ability to operate in a complex, international and multidisciplinary project environment
- Strong coordination, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional English required
Previous experience within Energy, Oil & Gas, LNG, Petrochemical or other major industrial EPC projects would be highly appreciated.
