About The Company The client is a fast‑growing, product‑ and tech‑driven company building AI‑powered infrastructure that is redefining how teams work. Its platform enables organizations to create custom AI agents deeply integrated with their tools and data. Today, the company has approximately 90 employees across Europe and the US, with a strong growth trajectory toward 150+ employees by the end of 2026. The culture is highly execution‑focused, business‑oriented, and pragmatic, with a strong emphasis on impact over process perfection. Budget: depending on profile The Role As a Senior People Manager, you are first and foremost a builder. This role goes far beyond traditional People Operations. You will design, build, and scale the People function, while also ensuring solid day‑to‑day operations in France and contributing to a global People setup (France & US). This is a senior, hands‑on role with a strong business mindset, operating in an early‑stage, high‑ambiguity environment. Build vs. run ratio: ~70–80% build / ~20–30% run. You will report to the Head of People and work very closely with founders, leadership, Finance, and Workplace. Responsibilities Build – Design scalable People systems (core mission) Build and implement scalable global People systems (HRIS, payroll, compensation, reporting, workflows) Design and automate end‑to‑end People processes (onboarding, lifecycle changes, offboarding) Own tooling strategy: select, implement, and drive adoption of People tools Translate business priorities into People roadmaps and systems Define and track People KPIs to support decision‑making and risk assessment Run – People Operations (France) Own the full employee lifecycle in France (contracts, amendments, leaves, exits) Manage payroll and variable compensation in close collaboration with Finance Administer benefits (health insurance, pension schemes, transportation) Ensure a solid compliance baseline with French labor law (without aiming for unnecessary perfection) Act as a pragmatic People point of contact for employees and managers Global People Operations (France & US) Contribute to building a single global People framework Provide operational support for US‑based employees (contracts, benefits, coordination) Identify risks, understand limits of expertise, and know when to seek external advice Business partnership & leadership posture Approach People topics through a business‑outcome lens (performance, org design, compensation) Balance care and business realities in a startup environment Operate with high autonomy in a context with limited structure Be perceived internally as a trusted People leader, not a “process enforcer” Experience & Skills 6–10 years of experience in People Operations / People Management Strong knowledge of French labor law and core HR operations Experience in early‑stage startups or small organizations Exposure to US employment environments (not necessarily expert‑level) Proven experience building systems, tools, and processes from scratch Strong project management, prioritization, and execution skills Comfortable with tools, data, and automation; product/tech affinity is a strong plus Mindset Builder mindset: you enjoy starting from a blank page Business‑oriented: you tie People decisions to company outcomes Pragmatic about compliance: risk‑aware, not dogmatic Comfortable with ambiguity and fast‑changing priorities You deeply respect and care about people, without making “care” your sole driver Languages & Location Fluent in French and English Not mandatory to live in Paris but regular in‑office presence (4 days per week) Why join Build a People function with real ownership and impact Work directly with founders and leadership Operate in a highly demanding, early‑stage environment Competitive compensation and equity Strong learning curve and long‑term growth potential #J-18808-Ljbffr
