We anticipate you to be responsible for: People: Empower your engineering team to achieve technical excellence and meaningful impact by ensuring they have the support and resources to do their best work. Provide constructive feedback, create learning and growth opportunities, and challenge them to improve. Help them understand why their work matters and how it aligns with company‑wide KPIs. Process: Optimize and refine development processes and technical practices to drive continuous improvement. Lead engineering team meetings to plan and prioritize work, run retrospectives to identify improvements, and establish policies that enhance communication, collaboration, and code quality. Delivery: Consistently deliver high‑quality software that provides value while maintaining a sustainable pace. Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to prioritize product initiatives, define the roadmap, and drive technical improvements. Ideal Candidate Profile 8+ years proven leadership in software engineering teams, with hands‑on experience as a software engineer. Experience in database and backend technologies, including TypeScript, SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, MongoDB, SQL Server), and familiarity with cloud services, APIs (GraphQL/REST), and developer tooling. High standards for quality, balancing pragmatism, purpose, and agency—taking ownership, making thoughtful trade‑offs, and driving meaningful impact. Focused on helping your team understand the why. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal—able to articulate complex ideas clearly, adapt messaging to different audiences, give and receive constructive feedback, and foster collaboration across teams. Structured thinking and a methodical approach to problem solving, planning effectively, setting clear goals, anticipating challenges, and keeping stakeholders aligned. What's in it for you?
