This role will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Billing team in the Paris office and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures of the firm, while supervising, training and coaching the Billing staff and secretaries on billing matters. This role will be located in our Paris office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Responsibilities & Qualifications Other key responsibilities include: Partnering with billing attorneys, secretarial staff, and clients to review, prepare, finalise, and send invoices Reviewing, investigating, and resolving problems encountered by Billing staff Monitoring the billing and collection cycles, following up on the same with the billing attorneys, billing staff, and clients, while ensuring that the client matters’ billing parameters (paying entity, rates, tax implications) are properly set up Ensuring goals and objectives of the department are met, while providing accurate and timely completion of assignments and inquiry responses Coordinating and ensuring the completion of annual and monthly activities including quarterly inventory campaigns, year-end collections and inventory management, e-billing coordination, and all other high-priority and time-sensitive activities We’d love to hear from you if you: Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, clients, vendors, and staff throughout the firm Demonstrate excellent leadership and team development skills (i.e., organising, planning, problem-solving, and decision-making), with the ability to mentor, train, and motivate team members for continuous improvement and growth Possess the ability to lead and manage change initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives And have: Complex accounting experience, including billing processes and practices in an international law firm, or equivalent international group active in the services industry A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field A Certified Public Accountant, preferably Benefits & Additional Information Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
