Position

Institut de Génétique Humaine (IGH, CNRS/UM) is an internationally recognized research institute focusing on gene expression, RNA biology, and genome regulation. The recruited researcher will join a newly established research group developing single‑molecule imaging approaches to study RNA‑protein dynamics in living cells.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct advanced live‑cell single‑molecule imaging experiments to dissect RNA‑protein dynamics, with a focus on mRNA translation regulation.
  • Optimize nanostructure‑based live‑cell imaging platforms.
  • Execute experiments on translation dynamics.
  • Analyze single‑molecule trajectories and quantify molecular interactions.
  • Integrate within the host laboratory and collaborate with local partners.
  • Participate in the preparation of funding applications, supporting the project leader.

Qualifications

PhD in biophysics, molecular biology or a related field. Experience in fluorescence microscopy or quantitative imaging approaches is an advantage.

Compensation and Contract

Net monthly salary €2,200‑€2,380. Contract duration: 18 months. Location: 163 Rue Auguste Broussonnet, Montpellier, France.
