Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances Join Canonical as an Open Source Enterprise Sales / Alliances Sales Representative – a general track role hiring for opportunities across all levels of seniority in our Sales and Alliances teams. The role is tailored for individuals with outstanding revenue‑generating experience in the technology industry. Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems to the global enterprise market. Our flagship platform, Ubuntu, powers breakthrough initiatives in public cloud, data science, AI, engineering innovation and IoT. With more than 1,200 colleagues in 75+ countries, we embrace a distributed, remote‑first culture with occasional in‑person team sprints. Location: Remote opportunities available globally. Responsibilities Advance a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem and open source selling models. Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms. Build and expand strategic relationships with partners and customers. Own the strategy and development of sales engagements. Grow customer awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu. Deliver on targets and objectives, providing a voice for partners and/or customers. Travel domestically and internationally to drive partnerships. Align and support internal field teams to identify, support, grow and transact. Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales Engineering and Product Management to achieve targets. Lead executive interlocks between partners/customers and Canonical leadership. Qualifications Track record of exceeding revenue expectations in the technology sector. Experience with Linux and open source. Strong academic background and/or compelling narrative of alternative educational pathways. Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or evidence of equivalent knowledge. Confidence to speak up, provide feedback and share ideas openly. Leadership and commitment to skill development and mentorship. Passion for technology demonstrated through personal projects. Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability. Appreciates diversity and is effective in a multi‑cultural, multinational environment. Self‑motivated with a results‑oriented mindset and high drive to meet commitments.
