Emeteria / Design Lyon, France / Full-time InternshipThis is a fantastic opportunity to join one of most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games, within our collaborative Action RPG team on Unreal 5.WHAT IS THE JOB ABOUT?As an intern Game Designer, you will evolve in a human-size team that will help you gain knowledge and experience in game development. You will interact with designers, programmers and artists to create the best features and implement them to the highest standards using our own systems within Unreal Engine 5.THAT IS GREAT BUT WHAT DOES IT MEAN FOR THE DAY TO DAY?- Tune game mechanics, with a special emphasis on combat and progression systems- Work with the combat designer to balance combat according to their directions- Work with art, design and tech teams to debug the game according to the production needsRequirementsWHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?- Eager for gaining in-depth knowledge of game development- Passion for RPG games and player progression systems- Comfortable communicating (spoken + written) in English- Extra: Experience with Unreal Engine- Extra: Experience with Behavior TreesWHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?- True passion for crafting games- Growth Mindset- Be a true team player, able to build relationships and establish trust, respect, and confidence.- Understanding that iteration makes quality- Ability to be available, patient, benevolent and inclusiveBENEFITS:Internship (6 months preferred)1 paid leave per month fully worked (in case of 6 months internship only)Meal vouchers & 50% refund on transportation cardRemote-friendly environment (hybrid only, full remote not accepted)Other:Office place: Lyon (near the La part dieu train station), FranceNEW TALES is committed to diversity and equal opportunities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
