Emeteria / Design Lyon, France / Full-time Mid-Senior levelThis is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most exciting game studios, using leading technology to create new genre-defining games within our collaborative Action RPG team.What is the job about?As a key member of the design team, you will take ownership of the game design. Focusing mostly on game design, you’ll also lead other designers working on combat, level, and audio, collaborating closely with all disciplines to achieve high standards. You will mentor teammates, review design work, and champion quality.Day-to-day responsibilities include:Leading, documenting, and sharing design direction with other departmentsProviding clear guidance to the design team aligned with the creative visionPartnering with Art and Technical teams to solve problems and enable the design teamOverseeing and mentoring design team membersParticipating in recruitment to grow the design teamDesigning features aligned with the creative direction, including game systems, combat, enemy design, and AI behaviorsFostering an environment that encourages open dialogue and creativityRequirementsWhat are we looking for?10+ years of experience in game developmentExcellent understanding of systemic gameplayStrong project and risk management skillsWhat do you need to succeed?Experience with Unreal EngineTeam player with strong relationship-building skillsUnderstanding that iteration enhances qualityAutonomy and responsibilityPatience, inclusivity, and a positive attitudeTechnical background (personal or educational) - extraExperience as a player or in an Action RPG role - extraExperience with Unity engine - extraBenefits include:50% refund on transportation card100% paid private health coverageHybrid role based in Lyon, near La Part Dieu train station (at least 2 days/week at the office)Visa and relocation support if applicable #J-18808-Ljbffr
