The role sits in the PG R&D Software department and involves leading the software R&D organization, defining technical strategies, and interfacing with clients to ensure successful project delivery.Position R&D DirectorDepartment PG R&D SoftwareValeo is a global high-technology company designing revolutionary mobility solutions. We partner with automakers and players in new mobility to invent a greener, safer mobility with intuitive driving and reduced CO2 emissions. Valeo is a leader in its fields and is recognized as one of the world\'s most innovative companies.Location Créteil, Île-de-France, FranceResponsibilitiesOptimize the organization of R&D Software teams.Ensure availability of resources and capabilities.Establish and monitor the budget.Define customer technical strategies.Define normalization strategy and develop and implement standards.Ensure continuous performance improvement.Interface with customers and contribute to project execution.Identify potential synergies with other product ranges.Ensure competitive watch.Support technical communications and marketing actions.Profile / QualificationsRequired: Educations Bac+5 (Engineering, Master) in Software Engineering or Telecommunications. Minimum 15 years of experience in an industrial, multicultural environment (automotive or related). Proven ability to manage complex organizations and act as a coach to teams. Strong Linux operating system knowledge to support change management. Autosar software knowledge is a plus. Good teamwork, assertiveness, and agility. Fluent English; German is a plus.Desirable: experience in leading engineering teams, change management, and driving technical strategies.
