Data Engineer Technical Lead – 12 Months Contract – Paris, France Start of the date: 09/02/2026 Hybrid 3 days on site 2 days remote Must be fluent in French & a good command of English CV’S MUST BE IN ENGLISH Deadline for applications – 21/01/2026 Data Engineer Technical Lead Project context The Data Engineer Technical Lead will integrate into one of my clients 30 squads which brings together 5 to 10 people (data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, etc.). Each of the squads is dedicated to a business project. The Data Engineer Technical Lead will work in an environment that is cross‑functional to the organization & will be able to rely in particular on: Delivery Performance to promote a work environment in line with the agile method within your squad, to support the Tech Lead service provider in the resolution of technical issues with the craftsmanship coach(es) Technical Authority for the practices & technical standards to be deployed within the squad Talent for HR follow‑up of employees in squads Chapter to support the Tech Lead service provider in the staffing of the squad, the resolution of technical problems, the development of the skills of the team attached to him. Data Engineer Technical Lead main goal The main mission of the Tech Lead is to: Contribute to the delivery of the product Ensure technical choices in collaboration with the squad in compliance with standards Make technical choices understood & obtain the buy‑in of stakeholders Interact on a daily basis with stakeholders (business, tech authority, etc.) Guarantee the software quality of the team's service and ensure the proper implementation of the product development plan. Missions Be the technical guarantor of the squad by supporting it in its choices & in the implementation of good practices & standards Ensure code quality & track KPIs for product tracking Contribute technically to the production of the code Escalate alerts & ensure problem resolution in an agile environment in close collaboration with Delivery Performance, Talent & Chapter leads Be responsible for the proper technical implementation of the product development plan. Goals & deliverables Skills required Ideally, the Tech Lead provider has a successful experience of at least 7 years as a Data Engineer & has ideally already had significant experience in a lead role for one or more teams. Technical & methodological scope The skills required as a Data Engineer Technical Lead: Proficiency & experience with the following programming languages: Python & Java Significant expertise in one or more of the following frameworks: PySpark, Spring Boot Expertise on the Cognite data platform would be a real plus Mastery of database management principles & processes. SQL / NoSQL Significant experience in the Azure Cloud Experience in a strong Agile context (Scrum / Kanban) with demanding delivery imperatives Full CI/CD experience in Infra as Code (Terraform). A Cloud certification at the Developer Associate level, or even at the Expert Architect level, would be ideal.
