About the role

Remote is a global platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams while staying compliant. You will act as the country subject matter expert for France as part of Remote's Global Payroll Operations Team, owning end-to-end payroll processing and related filings, approvals, payments and compliance.

What you'll do

  • Act as the country subject matter expert for France with Payroll, Finance, Product and Engineering teams.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships within Payroll, Implementation, Finance, Product and Engineers.
  • Process full end-to-end payroll in-house or with a provider, including statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, payments and compliance.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality; perform payroll journals and reconciliations.
  • Focus on KPIs and SLAs; implement and improve payroll processes; mentor and support payroll specialists; back up regional managers during absences.

  • Proficient with Excel and Google Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international, largely asynchronous environment.
  • Fluent English; remote work experience is a plus but not required.
