We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to ensure reliable, consistent delivery aligned with product vision, while growing the team through coaching, hiring, and strong execution. What you will do Lead, coach, and grow engineers (performance, career development, well‑being) Recruit and scale the team (interviews, hiring decisions) Drive execution: prioritize, delegate, manage dependencies and risks Ensure predictable delivery timelines and high‑quality standards Partner closely with Product Team to deliver customer value Ensure agile process execution and run (or delegate) ceremonies Align with other Engineering Managers for platform consistency Co‑lead technical direction with Tech Leads; contribute to reviews and occasional coding Promote continuous improvement (tools, practices, tech watch) Who you are Experience managing and developing software engineers Strong delivery and prioritization skills; comfortable owning commitments Solid engineering background (quality, testing, CI/CD, code review, architecture trade‑offs) Knowledgeable of secure software development & architecture practices Able to combine a wide conceptual, business, and technical vision to guide decisions and align execution with product goals You agree that it’s not just the software that counts, it’s also the people behind it Working with others is key to success Passionate about Developer experience Effective communicator and cross‑team collaborator (especially with Product) Comfortable in an Agile/Scrum environment Fluent in English and French Nice to have Enterprise software experience (B2B / SaaS) Java and/or modern web stack exposure Experience improving engineering productivity (DX, tooling, observability) Benefits and Culture Total flexibility – work remotely from your home in the Lyon area or from our Lyon office, you also have the possibility to work from abroad 2 weeks / year Great health insurance, free for your family members Personal‑growth support: online courses, conferences, books… training is key at Semarchy: you will attend training classes on a regular basis Work‑life balance: we are very attentive to our teams’ well‑being and insist on making sure you have a good balance between your personal and professional life; Semarchy has a specific Parenthood Charter Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function IT Services and IT Consulting We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
