The Bureau of Survey and Certification (BSC) within the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) is the identified state agency to perform survey and certification activities on behalf of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).The health care surveyor position performs surveys for federally certified long-term care (LTC) providers, specifically nursing homes, county medical care facilities, and hospital long term care units. The position conducts onsite, initial certification and recertification surveys as well as abbreviated complaint and facility reported incident investigation surveys. The purpose is to determine initial and ongoing compliance of federal certified providers with applicable portions of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and may be conducted by an individual surveyor or a team; the survey process is guided by the federal State Operation Manual (SOM).Position DescriptionTeam Survey Regions MapNote: Interview and hiring preference may be given to applicants with registered nurse qualifications and experience.The use of artificial intelligence (AI) software of any kind is prohibited in all areas of the selection process; including responses to application questions or interview questions.
