SaaS Data Protection Specialist Cohesity AltaAbout the job SaaS Data Protection Specialist Cohesity AltaSaaS Data Protection Specialist Cohesity AltaSafeguarding enterprise SaaS and cloud workloads with next-generation backup, recovery, and cyber resilience using Cohesity AltaPosition OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled SaaS Data Protection Specialist with hands-on experience in Cohesity Alta to manage the protection of critical cloud and SaaS workloads such as Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Google Workspace, and Azure/VM environments. This role is vital for maintaining data resilience, security, and compliance across distributed cloud applications.You will lead the consulting, deployment, configuration, and administration of Cohesity Alta, while also contributing to broader data protection and disaster recovery strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Administration & OperationsDeploy, configure, and maintain Cohesity Alta SaaS Protection services across multiple cloud environmentsAdminister policies for backup, retention, and recovery of Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Google Workspace, Azure VMs, and other SaaS workloadsMonitor platform health, usage, performance, and backup success ratesManage upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting of Cohesity Alta and associated cloud connectorsConsulting & Solution DesignAct as subject matter expert in SaaS data protection , helping design and implement enterprise backup strategies using CohesityProvide guidance on data classification, backup policies, and compliance alignmentCollaborate with cloud architects and IT security teams to integrate Cohesity Alta into broader resilience and DR frameworksRecovery & ResilienceExecute and validate data restoration scenarios (full, granular, point-in-time)Support ransomware recovery planning and simulations using Cohesitys cyber vaulting and immutability featuresAssist in defining RTO/RPO objectives and testing business continuity processesSecurity & ComplianceConfigure role-based access controls (RBAC) and integrate with identity providers (e.g., Entra ID / Azure AD)Ensure data encryption, audit logging, and regulatory compliance with GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO 27001Produce regular reports and dashboards for compliance, usage trends, and incident resolutionRequired Qualifications6+ years experience in data protection , cloud backup , or SaaS workload administrationHands-on experience with Cohesity Alta , or comparable platforms (e.g., Veeam for M365, Rubrik Polaris)Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Salesforce , and Google Workspace administrationFamiliarity with backup and DR principles , cloud storage models, and SaaS data securityPreferred QualificationsCertification in Cohesity (e.g., Cohesity Certified Engineer Cloud )Experience integrating Cohesity Alta with SIEM, IAM , or compliance reporting toolsScripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python ) to support automation of backup and restore tasksUnderstanding of immutable storage , cyber vaulting , and zero-trust architectureFamiliarity with ITIL, ISO 27001, or NIST Cybersecurity Framework #J-18808-Ljbffr
