Role Overview This role sits within Gilead’s Global Procurement Organization (GPO). The GPO team partners with stakeholders across Gilead’s organization to deliver meaningful value by reshaping supplier strategies and relationships for all indirect procurement spend. In this role, you will primarily partner with key stakeholder groups within Gilead’s French Affiliate. Depending on the role’s progression, you may also provide limited sourcing support to stakeholders in Belgium & Holland. Responsibilities Act as a strategic thought partner to stakeholders and markets you support. Annually identify a pipeline of opportunities to optimize spend with suppliers; engage early with Affiliate teams to review planned spend and align priorities. Deliver 5‑10% cost improvement year‑on‑year by implementing global and local sourcing strategies. Partner with Global Category Managers to develop global category strategies, capture local requirements and drive stakeholder adherence. Identify preferred suppliers for key categories in collaboration with Affiliate stakeholders and Global Category Managers. Develop sourcing strategies for locally managed spend, maintain a holistic view of demand and supply options. Conduct RFPs, negotiate price and contract terms, and implement agreed sourcing strategies for locally managed categories. Determine stakeholder satisfaction with key vendors; support performance improvement opportunities. Provide regular updates to GPO and senior Affiliate leaders; proactively highlight issues requiring attention. Promote stakeholder adoption of standardized procurement processes; inspire realization of sourcing value. Participate in Procurement Team meetings to learn about GPO goals, processes and best practices. Reporting Line This role reports to the Procurement Director for ACE markets and is part of a team within GPO that partners with teams located at one or more Gilead Sales & Marketing offices within Europe, Australia or Canada (collectively referred to as ACE markets). Qualifications 10+ years professional work experience plus a BS/BA (or equivalent), or 8+ years professional work experience plus a MA/MS or MBA (or equivalent) in a corporate environment. Experience in the Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industry desirable but not essential. Fluency in English and French required. Extensive RFP, negotiation and contract management experience. Experience managing and maintaining strong supplier relationships. Prior experience in cross‑functional collaboration; experience with Marketing or Medical teams advantageous. Demonstrated effective business partnering capabilities; strong organizational skills. Clear communicator; able to influence without authority. Leadership presence / gravitas; presentation to leadership teams required. Analytical with attention to detail. Hands‑on approach; proactive with strong drive.
