Our team of 650+ people (still growing) operates across France, Spain, Belgium, and Canada.The Insurance TeamBeing part of Alan’s insurance community is a great opportunity to influence people’s health and wellbeing across our countries of operation.We are at the heart of Alan’s mission, bringing technical leadership and expertise on healthcare and death & disability insurance.We collaborate with data scientists, designers, engineers and product managers to build differentiating products and provide a delightful experience at a fair price.We build and manage offers for large companies and public institutions with our sales and account management teams.We monitor our portfolio and manage risks effectively.We manage capital, steer reinsurance strategy and maintain relationships with insurance regulators.Your roleAs Alan’s Risk Expert, you will provide automated and scalable risk assessment tools:Risk modeling – strengthen and automate building our Solvency 2 balance sheet and capital requirements projections, covering health, death and disabilityYou will model new risks when they arise (new insurance products, branches, international, investments, etc.)You will challenge our risk appetite, propose new metrics and build tools to monitor themYou will support board meeting preparation and communication with investors regarding capital evolution and market risksRegulatory – scale and automate quantitative reporting and contribute to SFCR, RSR, ORSA reports; assist discussions with supervisors; assess international opportunities and help open new countriesCapital management – propose improvements in capital management across four countries; manage reinsurance strategy and analyze reinsurance reportingTeam Growth – create processes and resources to strengthen risk and capital understanding; support hiring for Insurance and Risk teamsIs it you we’re looking for?You would thrive in this role if you:Have solid expertise of the Solvency 2 regulatory framework, especially S2 accounting; knowledge of Health, Life and Market risks is a bonusAre fluent in English with written French for regulatory interactionsHave excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, including data analysisCan automate processes and build new tools; programming skills are a plusBring rigor and reliability to reporting production and work independently in a fast-paced environmentHave strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholdersAre confident learning new tools and methodologies with creative problem-solvingPerks & BenefitsAlan offers a stimulating environment and perks to support happy, efficient work life.
