We are looking for a Payment and Fraud Director to join our Operations team and lead the evolution of our payment ecosystem and fraud prevention strategies across 70+ countries. What You Will Do Lead, develop and inspire cross‑functional payment and fraud teams. Establish clear team structures, processes, goals and career development paths. Co‑develop a comprehensive fraud prevention strategy with the Product team. Introduce automated, risk‑based fraud responses. Balance fraud prevention with business growth and user experience. Lead payment strategy across 70+ countries, optimizing existing payment methods. Explore and implement new payment technologies (wallets, instant transfers). Drive PSP strategy and evaluation. Improve payout capabilities and reduce processing times. Collaborate with Data, Performance, Project, Product, Engineering teams. Contribute to broader Operations strategy and cross‑team initiatives. Who You Are 8+ years of experience in payments and fraud prevention, mainly e‑commerce or marketplace environments. 5+ years of people management experience, building high‑performing teams. Deep understanding of payment fraud, risk management and automation technologies. Experience with international payments, multiple PSPs and diverse payment methods. Strong analytical skills using data to drive decisions. Experience at leading marketplaces, e‑commerce platforms or fintech firms. Background in both payment fraud and broader fraud prevention. Knowledge of regulatory requirements across multiple markets. Experience with payment optimization and conversion improvement. Collaborative leadership style with strong emotional intelligence. Strategic thinking combined with hands‑on execution. Excellent communication skills; able to influence across all levels. Adaptability and comfort with ambiguity in a fast‑growing environment. What Success Looks Like First 3 months: complete discovery phase, ensure team stability, identify optimal structure. First 6 months: deliver quick wins in payment and fraud operations, implement process improvements. First year: establish a clear strategic roadmap, build resilient teams, potentially expand scope.
