Accountant We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join a small and dynamic finance team in Paris. Responsibilities Maintain accurate general ledger records in compliance with French GAAP and company policies. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including reconciliations. Oversee payroll entries, tax declarations, and social contributions. Support the preparation of annual audits and liaise with external auditors. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. Ensure timely filing of VAT, corporate tax, and other regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on financial controls and process improvements. Issue employment contracts for newly hired staff and handle necessary declarations to the relevant authorities. Process payroll and related social contributions, collaborating with external providers when needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or DSCG a plus). 4/5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in France or within an international company. Proficiency in English written and spoken, fluent in French. Strong knowledge of French GAAP and tax regulations. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics 365 Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel (i.e. pivot tables and data formatting). Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Analytical thinking and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and proactively. Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
