RTE international supports clients worldwide by helping them develop reliable, competitive power systems that meet the challenges of the energy transition.A subsidiary of **RTE**, the largest electricity transmission system operator in Europe, RTE international provides customized solutions to power system stakeholders in the development, operation, and maintenance of transmission networks.Since its creation in 2006, RTE international’s experts—drawing on over 70 years of expertise and experience developed within RTE—have completed more than 300 projects in over 50 countries across all continents. RTE international employs 70 staff and works with nearly a hundred experts each year.**Tasks & Responsibilities**· Lead and contribute to HVDC and grid integration projects, fromfeasibility studies to execution.· Perform and review advanced power system studies (EMT, harmonic,dynamic stability) for HVDC and FACTS applications.· Drive technical discussions with clients, partners, and vendors,ensuring high-quality engineering outcomes.· Contribute to specification development for HVDC/FACTS equipmentand system integration.· Support business development activities, including technical input toproposals, client meetings, and positioning the company in the HVDCmarket.· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of teamknow-how.· Gradually take on project management and leadershipresponsibilities, with a view toward future managerial or businessdevelopment roles.**Activities**· Model transmission grids and simulate complex electrical phenomenausing electromagnetic transient (EMT) and real-time simulation tools.· Analyse the dynamic behaviour of AC/DC converters, includinginteraction with control and protection systems.· Provide strategic technical advice on HVDC integration challenges,including interoperability and interaction phenomena.· Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and clientworkshops to strengthen market visibility.· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, commercial) toensure project success and business growth.## Profil**Experience and know-how:**· 5+ years of professional experience in the power systems industry, with a strong focus on HVDC, FACTS, or other power-electronic based transmission technologies.· Proven expertise in power system modelling and simulation, particularly using EMT tools (e.g., PSCAD, EMTP, RTDS).· Solid understanding of converter control and protection strategies, interaction phenomena, and system integration challenges.· Experience conducting and reviewing network studies (harmonic, transient stability, EMT) for grid connection of HVDC/FACTS or large renewable plants.· Familiarity with project management principles and the execution of complex, multi-stakeholder power infrastructure projects.· Ability to engage confidently with clients, vendors, and partners, bridging technical depth with clear communication.· Knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and grid codes relevant to HVDC and renewable integration.· (Preferred) Track record in leading technical teams or mentoring engineers, showing readiness to grow into management.· (Preferred) Exposure to business development activities such as preparing proposals, supporting tenders, or representing the company in client meetings.**Qualifications:**· Postgraduate studies or Masters (MSc - Master of Science)· Doctorate (PhD - Doctor of Philosophy) completed or in the process of being completed.**Linguistic competences:**· French: fluent (optional)· English: fluent (mandatory)
