Senior Technical Engineer (3 months part time contract)

Position Purpose:

As a Senior Technical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, delivering and commissioning wireless networks in close relationship with the current Boldyn Project manager. You will work towards achieving key project milestones in compliance with private networks requirements. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Proficient in configuring and validating network architectures, focused on IP and routing definition, load balancing and integration between 5G RAN and CORE elements in private wireless networks.

  • Design and understand the LLD architectures of 5G CORE and Transport

  • To be familiarized with BGP and other network protocols.

  • Oversee mobile and wireless network projects from engineering to customer acceptance, covering pre-staging implementation, , and site integration.

  • Design and validate test plans for new deployments and system upgrades.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for system design, and implementation plans.

  • Provide expert technical guidance on private wireless network functionality, performance optimization.

  • In depth trouble-shooting capability for analysis of network statistics, KPIs, UE logs, enB/gNB logs

  • Preparation of AS-BUILT documentation and internal process records for the CARE phase.

Jobs To Be Done

  • Lead the technical and integration aspects of complex projects by applying configurations and designs to the following domains:

    • Network transport

    • 5G CORE

    • Radio (desirable)

  • Lead the integration of new RAN and Core vendors into the delivery portfolio.

  • Standardize project delivery templates and documentation.

  • Strong communication skills (Fluent in French & English)

Key Position Criteria

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in deployment/integration of 5G networks at a senior level

  • Experience of working in some of the following industry areas; telecommunications, manufacturing, mining, logistics, refineries and other process industry, power plants

  • Strong, demonstrable technical expertise across the following domains: IP Transport, Backhaul & Security, 5G Core, 5G NR RAN

  • Knowledge of standard networking protocols and components such as HTTP, DNS, IP Routing (BGP, IS-IS OSPF), TCP/IP, IPv6 and load balancing.

  • Detailed knowledge of HPE (PN & IP Portfolio), Nokia,  and functionality

  • Extensive Knowledge of 3GPP & ETSI standards

  • Advanced network troubleshooting skills

5G Technical Fundamentals

  • Core Network architecture and IMS features

  • Nokia Bell Labs 5G Foundation & Networking Certification

  • StreamWIDE Team on Mission

  • voice

Networking and security

  • Cisco CCNA (networking and/or security), or CCNP

  • Alternative certificates and/or experience in relevant vendors
