Product Manager – Cloud Native Operations This role is responsible for the commercial strategy and marketing leadership of one of our cloud native operations product areas, including Juju, Identity Management, and Observability. Key Responsibilities Lead the lifecycle of product development by reviewing priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for. Work closely with engineering leads to oversee the product development process. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as engineering, design, marketing, and sales to align on priorities and keep business execution on track. Conduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with Canonical's overall vision. Develop your team through coaching, mentoring and training. Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate across Canonical. Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement. Contribute to the success of our sales team in winning new opportunities by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings. Qualifications Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to the usage and/or management of open source software in the cloud native landscape. Experience designing or managing software operations for large scale distributed systems. Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker containers. Comprehensive knowledge of the common enterprise security and compliance requirements in the area of software operations. Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive execution to excellence. Passion to write about technologies and experience in the area of developer marketing. Excellent communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events. Nice‑to‑have Experience with CNCF projects, identity or observability systems. Demonstrate an insatiable intellectual curiosity and passion for the future of technology. Strong sense of ownership of product and team success. Problem solver, visionary leadership.
