This is an application track for a product management position focused on Hardware Certification. Product managers set the vision and direction to deliver the right products in the right markets at the right time.This is an exceptional opportunity for a competitive technology leader to contribute to Hardware Certification and the Ubuntu ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesLead the roadmap of the Hardware Certification effort and drive partnership with OEMsWork with the engineering team to shape the development roadmap for Hardware CertificationDefine future business models considering the competitive landscapeEngage with the Ubuntu user community, key partners, OEMs and leading customers to enable commercial success and drive go-to-marketThe role encompasses product leadership and go-to-market strategy, translating the product vision into actionable plans and successful market launches. Product managers in Canonical blend technical expertise, strategic thinking, analytics, project management, and effective communication to meet user needs and business objectives.Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region. You will be expected to be located in this region.Role responsibilitiesLead the product development lifecycle, reviewing priorities and goalsCollaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and salesAddress cross-project challenges, align on priorities, and enable informed decisionsConduct market research, analyse industry trends, and gather customer feedbackCommunicate product vision, status updates, and key decisions to ensure alignmentConduct usability testing, analyse user feedback, and iterate to improve user experienceCollaborate with marketing, sales, and support to develop go-to-market strategies, create product documentation, and provide trainingSupport sales in winning opportunities and engage in customer meetingsWhat we are looking for in youExceptional academic results at high school and universityUnderstanding of Linux and the open source software communityUnderstanding of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, cloud or devicesPassion to write about technologies and the tech landscapeStrong work ethic and alignment with the open source movementCuriosity and continuous learning mindsetOwnership and accountabilityProblem solving and innovationExcellent English communication skills, verbal and writtenWillingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for company events up to two weeks longNice-to-have skillsFamiliarity with technology ecosystems including Silicon, IHV, ISV, ODM/OEMs, cloud service providersFamiliarity with embedded and connected device technologyFamiliarity with hardware/software testing frameworksExperience building a certification programWhat we offer you compensation is based on location, experience, and performance.
