Manufacturing Engineering Technician-I

Overview HID Global, EMEA Fulfilment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician to work amongst our Production Team. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will work in HID’s Production facility. The candidate will provide world class service to Fulfillment Operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are upheld while demonstrating a strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement. Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) HID PACS leads in securing spaces with advanced, reliable access control solutions, from readers, credentials, controllers, to mobile and biometric technologies, empowering organizations worldwide. Responsibilities Responsible for all production equipment on site, ensuring built‑in quality and maximizing machine uptime while championing preventative maintenance. Lead machine repairs, diagnose root causes, and implement containment and corrective actions. Investigate and troubleshoot issues to minimize production downtime. Maintain and document process controls, reflecting changes/improvements and training the team. Identify areas of improvement in department processes. Engage team and manage projects to satisfactory conclusion, presenting quantifiable improvements. Raise MCO/ECO/PIM using Agile change management system. Proactively elevate potential issues to minimize safety, quality, delivery impact and operational inefficiency. Establish and maintain strong relationships with global manufacturing team. Lead integration of new product introduction (NPI) into the fulfillment center. Support capacity improvements or new product launches by reviewing capital equipment acceptance. Strategically view department, aligning daily operations to long‑term goals. Serve as ambassador for lean principles and develop culture of standard work. Maintain compliance with all site policies (Health & Safety, Quality). Background & Education Preferred: BSc in Engineering discipline or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a production environment. Background in electrical, electronic, or mechanical production machinery. Experience with lean methodology (process mapping, 5S, etc.). Familiar with Oracle R12 ERP or similar ERP systems. Familiar with Agile PLM or similar PLM systems. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
