Dispensary Associate Lead

The Dispensary Associate Lead at FINO Cannabis plays a key role in creating an exceptional patient experience while supporting daily store operations and team performance. This position is ideal for a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment and enjoys building genuine connections with patients and teammates alike.

You’ll lead by example on the sales floor, support the development of Wellness Associates, and help bring company initiatives to life; all while maintaining the highest standards of customer service, compliance, and professionalism.

• Lead from the front by consistently exceeding personal sales and KPI goals while motivating and supporting the team to do the same
• Partner with the Dispensary Manager and Assistant Manager to execute business initiatives efficiently and effectively
• Help identify training and development opportunities for Wellness Associates and support ongoing coaching
• Deliver outstanding, patient-first customer service in alignment with company standards
• Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, vendors, service providers, and fellow team members
• Address patient questions and concerns promptly and professionally, escalating when appropriate
• Recommend and help patients select appropriate medical cannabis products based on individual needs and physician recommendations
• Clearly explain the effects, benefits, and differences of cannabis products in an approachable and informative way
• Accurately process transactions using the POS system and handle cash responsibly
• Ensure strict adherence to security, compliance, and asset protection procedures
• Set up, maintain, and break down product displays daily
• Assist with inventory processing, replenishment, floor stock monitoring, and cycle counts
• Perform data entry and manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality
• Dispense medical cannabis in compliance with the Florida Medical Marijuana Use Registry
• Answer incoming phone calls and route them appropriately
• Maintain educational materials, new patient folders, and store resources
• Keep the dispensary clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
• Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Experience in highly regulated environments (pharmacy technician, bank teller, or similar roles preferred)
• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered
• Retail experience with cash handling and POS systems
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience in the medical cannabis industry is a plus, but not required
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to pass a criminal background check
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail
• A proactive mindset with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
• Ability to think critically, solve problems independently, and lead with integrity

Working Conditions

This role operates in a professional retail dispensary setting and regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.

This is a full-time position and requires flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs demand
