OverviewLocation: France / Cross-Border Region (On-site / Project-based)Sector: Life Sciences / Regulated ManufacturingContract Type: 1 - 2 year contractThe OpportunityWe are supporting a large-scale industrial automation program within a regulated Life Sciences environment, seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with strong experience in design, implementation, and integration of DCS platforms into Siemens PCS7.This position is ideal for engineers who enjoy working at architecture and integration level, bridging PLC systems, DCS platforms, and higher automation layers, while operating under GMP / GAMP-compliant frameworks.Role OverviewAs a Senior PLC / DCS Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in the integration of multiple automation platforms into a unified Siemens PCS7 environment. You will be involved from front-end design through implementation, testing, commissioning, and qualification, working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and system vendors.This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on engineering capability, and solid experience in regulated manufacturing environments.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign and define automation architectures based on Siemens PCS7Integrate existing or vendor DCS / PLC platforms into the PCS7 environmentDefine communication concepts, data models, and control strategiesSupport standardization and harmonization of control platformsPLC / DCS Software Design & ImplementationDevelop and configure automation applications within Siemens PCS7Adapt or migrate control logic from non-PCS7 platforms into PCS7Support interface development between PCS7, PLC-based skids, and vendor systemsEnsure reliable integration across field, control, and supervisory layersLead or support FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities for PCS7-based systemsTroubleshoot complex integration and interoperability issuesSupport IQ/OQ execution and validation testingManage punch lists, deviations, and corrective actionsCompliance & Regulated EnvironmentEnsure compliance with GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and Data Integrity requirementsContribute to URS, FDS, HDS, SDS, and compliance matricesSupport change control, deviation investigations, and CAPA processesParticipate in risk analysis (including functional and system risk assessments)Work closely with electrical, mechanical, process, IT/OT, and validation teamsCoordinate technically with OEMs, vendors, and system integratorsAct as a technical reference / subject matter expert for PCS7 integration topicsRequired Profile✔ EducationDegree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or Industrial Computing✔ Experience10+ years of experience in industrial automationProven experience working with Siemens PCS7 in a design or integration roleStrong background in PLC and DCS system architecture and integrationDemonstrated experience delivering projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industriesHands-on involvement in GAMP-regulated projects and validation activities✔ Technical SkillsSiemens PCS7 (core requirement)PLC programming with Siemens S7 / TIA PortalExperience integrating non-PCS7 DCS or PLC platformsExposure to SCADA/DCS systems (WinCC, iFIX, FactoryTalk, DeltaV or similar)Commissioning and troubleshooting of complex automation systems✔ Languages & Soft SkillsFluent French requiredStrong English for technical documentation and project communicationStructured, analytical, and detail-orientedComfortable working autonomously and as a technical leadWhy This Role Will Appeal to You✨ High technical ownership from design through qualification✨ Work within highly regulated, high-value Life Sciences projects✨ Long-term opportunity with deep engineering impact #J-18808-Ljbffr
