Europe Mobility Commercial Director RINA is currently recruiting for the position in its office in Paris within the Europe Engineering Commercial Management Division. Mission The mission of a Business Development Director functioning as an individual contributor is to lead sales, cultivate client relationships, and strategically contribute to the growth and success of the business. As an individual contributor, the focus is on personal leadership and direct involvement in various aspects of business development. Key Accountabilities Lead sales and client relationship management: drive sales activities and personally manage and nurture client relationships. Opportunity pipeline management: monitor and manage the entire pipeline of opportunities, align it with commercial targets. Market analysis and trend tracking: track new markets and emerging trends, recommend new products and services. Strategic partnerships: advise, propose and develop new strategic partnerships, expanding the business network. Proposal and business plan development: elaborate proposals and business plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Coordination with business unit management: collaborate to guide long‑term objectives, ensure alignment between development efforts and broader business needs. Cooperation with business development functions: collaborate across the group to enhance cross‑selling and mutual opportunities. Stay up‑to‑date with offerings and technology solutions: keep abreast of current and future offerings and communicate the value of technology tools. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (General) Qualifications 10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in an international or highly technical industry. Proven track record of leading sales activities and managing high‑value client relationships. Experience in opportunity pipeline management, market expansion, and competitive analysis. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with corporate objectives. Strong background in contract negotiations, proposal development, and commercial planning. Experience working with cross‑functional teams and global stakeholders. Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and business opportunities. Expertise in commercial strategy, financial forecasting, and business planning. Ability to develop and sustain strategic partnerships and alliances. Strong knowledge of business intelligence tools and CRM systems. Familiarity with technology solutions and digital transformation trends in the industry. Exceptional leadership and negotiation skills to drive business growth. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships. Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and act on new business opportunities. Results‑oriented approach, focused on achieving commercial targets. Collaboration and influence skills to work effectively with internal teams and senior management. Competencies Have a big picture of different situations and reinterpret them in a perspective way.
