Our Machine Learning team continually leverages the latest advancements to unlock AI’s full potential in healthcare. Yann LeCun, Meta’s Chief AI Scientist and Turing award winner, is an advisor to Nabla. Engineering at Nabla Engineering at Nabla is lean, fast-moving, and deeply technical. Our teams span machine learning, native desktop applications, and platform infrastructure to deliver AI into clinical settings reliably and at scale. Your Team The Engineering team currently comprises three domains: Apps: Responsible for our web application and Chrome extension. Platform: Handles infrastructure, back-end, and our API solution. Core: Focuses on Machine Learning innovation and delivery. You will join the Platform team and collaborate closely with Product Managers and other teams. What You'll Do: Build and evolve our server-side applications and APIs Design and implement integrations with external partners, especially Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Continuously improve our core back-end infrastructure, including API code generation and developer experience Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making Collaborate closely with Machine Learning, Product, and Front-End teams to deliver end-to-end features To give you a sense of the impact: Nabla processes 10 billion tokens/month with LLMs Every week, hundreds of thousands of clinical notes are automatically generated and synced with EHRs, saving thousands of hours for clinicians Our APIs serve real-time workloads in high-stakes clinical environments Your DNA You have 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering You have strong foundations in computer science or a related discipline You’re proficient in one or more widely used back-end languages (Java, Kotlin, C++, Python, etc.) You have experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs (GraphQL and OpenAPI experience is a plus) You write clean, maintainable code and have high standards for software quality You communicate clearly in English Our stack Frontend: TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, Swift, Rust, Electron. Backend: Kotlin / JVM, GraphQL, PostgreSQL. ML & Infra: Python, PyTorch, Slurm, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes. Where you'll be based Our offices are based in Paris 3e (Arts & Métiers). Our flexible hybrid policy allows 1-2 remote days per week, plus 1-2 weeks fully remote per year.
