Role Overview The Product Development Manager, based out of our Paris office, will report directly to the Director of New Categories and oversee the full product development cycle for our leather goods and jewelry categories—from sourcing materials to delivering final product samples. The ideal candidate brings strong luxury product development experience, deep knowledge of craftsmanship and materials, exceptional organizational skills, and a meticulous attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Product Development and Project Management Oversee the development cycle from initial concept through production handoff. Ensure development execution is in accordance with design, allocation, sourcing, and brand strategy. Manage calendars, timelines, approvals and cross‑functional communication. Source raw materials and components, ensuring alignment on quality, feasibility and lead times. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all updates are shared with internal teams and external partners. Industrialization, Manufacturing and Quality Partner closely with suppliers and factories to ensure feasibility, quality and craftsmanship. Lead sample review and material validations ensuring aesthetic, functional and quality expectations are met. Anticipate and facilitate the effective resolution of potential issues to ensure products meet all quality, compliance and durability standards prior to production. Prepare and secure a seamless production transition with complete and clear documentation. Costing and Margin Management Build and manage target costs throughout the development process. Optimize cost structures while maintaining quality and respecting brand positioning. Manage retail price and margin. Key Requirements 7+ years experience working in product development within the luxury accessories industry. Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Exceptional problem‑solving skills with a strategic and analytical approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders. Proficiency in product and production management tools/software. Highly detail‑oriented, proactive and committed to operational excellence. Fluent in English and French, Italian is a plus.
