About us
Recupere Metals has developed a new wire‑forming technology that produces high‑conductivity copper wire without the need for 99.95% pure copper raw materials. No smelting. No refining. Just a smarter process using only scrap copper.
By eliminating these costly and highly polluting steps, we are considerably reducing the overall cost of copper‑wire production while putting millions of tonnes of copper scrap currently unsuitable for electrical use. Our technology paves the way for fully circular and cost‑effective copper‑wire production, an essential piece of the global energy transition.
We have raised over EUR5m in our first round of funding from leading investors, secured strong interest from large commercial offtakers, and demonstrated that we have a way of boosting the world's production of recycled copper.
We’re now building our core team, and it’s the perfect time to jump on board
About the role
We’re looking for a Commercial Strategy Associate to help identify where our technology can create the most value, develop our commercial pipeline and build relationships across Europe’s copper value chain.
Working closely with our commercial lead and founders, you will investigate several markets in parallel, engage directly with customers and suppliers, and turn what you learn into qualified opportunities and clear commercial recommendations.
Your work will combine sourcing and supplier development with market discovery and business development. You will spend time speaking to industrial stakeholders, attending trade fairs and testing assumptions about customer needs, qualification requirements and purchasing timelines.
This role suits someone who enjoys both analysis and execution: you can map a complex market, start conversations with unfamiliar stakeholders and follow through to move an opportunity forward.
Your responsibilities
Market discovery and commercial strategy
Map target markets, applications and value chains to identify promising entry points for Recupere’s technology.
Lead conversations with prospective customers to understand technical requirements, decision-making processes, qualification timelines and potential volumes.
Assess opportunities across several sectors, helping us balance near‑term customer acquisition with longer‑term strategic accounts.
Translate market evidence into practical recommendations on customer targeting, product positioning and routes to market.
Business development
Build and qualify a pipeline through targeted outreach, cold calling, LinkedIn, industry networks and trade fairs.
Develop relationships with industrial customers, from smaller manufacturers to major equipment producers.
Work with our technical and commercial teams to progress opportunities towards sampling, testing and commercial discussions.
Maintain clear opportunity records, follow‑ups and next steps in our CRM.
Commercial development
Own selected commercial opportunities from initial qualification through testing, purchasing discussions and first orders, working closely with the commercial lead and technical team.
Build clear next steps with customers, identify blockers and engage the stakeholders needed to move opportunities towards a purchasing decision.
Sourcing and supplier development
Identify and engage copper suppliers, processors and other potential partners across the value chain.
Gather intelligence on material availability, specifications, processing capabilities, capacity and lead times.
Explore partnerships that could support customer access and industrial scale‑up.
Commercial analysis
Gather reliable information on pricing, competing solutions and customer economics.
