Having reached profitability in our core market, we’re now scaling globally, with a strong focus on the US. It’s still day 1, come build the future of shopping with us
Our People Team
At Joko, we believe that our people are our strongest asset, and the People Team is one of the core pillars of the company. We span Talent Acquisition, People Operations, People Business Partnering, and Workplace, and we work hand in hand with every team to make Joko efficient, scalable, and a place people genuinely love working at. We don't just run people processes — we design, challenge, and rethink them.
Today, Joko is 100+ people across Paris, Barcelona, and New York, and we are set to grow to 200+ within 18 months. That kind of growth only holds up if the office, the rituals, and the daily fabric of the company scale with it — which is where the Workplace Manager comes in.
What you will do
Own the Paris office end-to-end: Our Paris office is your canvas. You will manage service providers, supplies, and facilities, keep the space impeccable and organized, and be the first point of contact for anything office-related. You will also be the go-to resource for our remote teammates across France and abroad, so the experience of working at Joko feels consistent regardless of where people sit.
Bring the team together through events: From All Hands to Joko Academies, Team Events, Joko Drinks, offsites, and our legendary Christmas Party, you will design and run each gathering so it is not just well-organized, but a genuine moment of connection. As we grow into an international company, you will make sure our rituals scale with us and keep bringing the team together across geographies.
Own onboarding end-to-end: First impressions matter, and onboarding is one of the most consequential parts of the Joko experience. You will run the process from employment contract to IT setup to team introductions to custom Joko goodies, so every new hire lands seamlessly and feels welcome from day one.
Hold the culture as we scale: Doubling in size is precisely when a company culture can slip. The office you run, the events you design, and the way new joiners are welcomed are where Joko's culture gets rebuilt every day. You will be one of the people who keeps Joko Joko as we grow.
Keep admin and compliance airtight: You will track expenses, make sure invoices are recorded correctly for our accounting team, and partner with Finance and Legal on our compliance routines so nothing falls through the cracks.
Who we're looking for
Experience: You have 3+ years in Workplace, Office Management, People Operations, Event Management, or a similar role, ideally in a fast-growing tech company. You have already owned an office and a set of team rituals end-to-end — you know what it takes to make them impeccable, not just functional.
Ownership mindset: You take full ownership of your scope, from strategy down to the smallest detail, and run complex projects from start to finish with little supervision.
Attention to detail: You spot what others miss. A crooked frame, a missing supply, a rough onboarding email — none of it gets past you, because you know these details are what people actually feel.
Organized and efficient: You are structured, calm under pressure, and excellent at juggling many priorities without dropping any of them. You care about deadlines and you meet them.
Interpersonal skills: You build strong relationships across the team and foster a real sense of belonging. People feel comfortable coming to you, and you make them feel taken care of.
