About This Internship Within TCM (Treasury & Capital Markets), the internship focuses on modern cloud technologies while contributing to the continued transformation of Finastra into an independent company. The role includes designing, developing, and deploying cloud‑native applications and microservices on Azure. Objectives of this Role Develop cloud‑native applications and microservices using modern frameworks and Azure services. Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures. Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code following industry best practices. Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to understand requirements and deliver features. Stay current with cloud technologies, development frameworks, and industry trends. Responsibilities Develop and maintain applications using Python, Java, or Node.js. Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Work with databases to design schemas and optimize queries. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality and development practices. Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure application reliability. Debug and troubleshoot application issues across the full stack. Document technical specifications, API contracts, and system architectures. Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure applications are scalable and production‑ready. Requirements Final year Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Strong foundation in at least one programming language (Python, Java). Understanding of object‑oriented programming and software design principles. Basic knowledge of web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web frameworks. Familiarity with RESTful API concepts and JSON data format. Understanding of relational databases and SQL fundamentals. Basic knowledge of containerization with Docker. Fundamental understanding of cloud computing concepts. Experience with version control systems (Git). Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Good written and oral communication skills in English. Passion for learning new technologies and best practices. Ability to work collaboratively in an agile team environment. Nice to Have Experience building personal or academic projects with modern web frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js, Spring Boot, FastAPI). Hands‑on experience with Azure services. Knowledge of microservices architecture patterns. Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka). Experience with testing frameworks. Basic understanding of Kubernetes. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps). Contributions to open‑source projects or active GitHub portfolio. Cloud certifications (Azure Fundamentals AZ‑900, Azure Developer Associate AZ‑204). Understanding of application security best practices (OWASP).
