Renal & Urinary Research Scientist (H/F/X)Join to apply for the Renal & Urinary Research Scientist (H/F/X) role at MarsOverviewAt Royal Canin R&D, the Research Team is responsible for long-term innovation (4+ years). It consists of science and technology experts delivering solutions into new or improved products, processes and services to enhance the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs and bring competitive advantage to Royal Canin. The team values a broad expertise and the diversity of scientific backgrounds.The purpose of this role in the Core Health Research Team is to identify innovative solutions in the Renal and Urinary territories (nutritional products, services, diagnostics, or functional complements) for sick pets and to communicate relevant scientific/technological findings to key business and external audiences.What we are looking forDoctor of veterinary medicine (DVM or equivalent) preferredMSc or PhD (preferred) with expertise in nutrition, veterinary science, animal science and/or animal physiologyPost Doc or initial experience of 2 years of Research & Development in a corporate environment is a plusFluency in English both verbal & writtenKey responsibilitiesScreen potential solutions, build and manage approved research projects within the research programBe responsible for the full execution of research projects including idea generation, protocol setup, external research contracting, ethical review, regulatory checks, budget and protocol follow up using processes in place within the Research teamEngage with the Core Health Research team to generate and demonstrate new research hypothesesEngage with the Predictive Research Team for the use of tools that can optimize the design and outcomes of clinical studiesEngage with the Pet Professionals and PSR Demand teams to align ideas and projects with the support of the Research Senior ScientistSupport the Design team regarding the scientific evaluation of new diagnostic tools, devices, and other service solutions for the wellbeing of cats and dogs in the field of researchEngage potential collaborations between Waltham and Mars Petcare Units as appropriate (e.g. Mars Veterinary Health group, Science & Diagnostics division) relevant to the Core Health Research teamCommunicate relevant scientific/technological findings to key business and external audiences through written works and oral presentationBe responsible for final internal reporting, external scientific communication, peer-reviewed publication, and support for patent filing as neededDeliver innovative solutions that are implementable in the Royal Canin product & service portfolioTransfer the solution to the Develop team and propose the best route of implementation into the productWhat can you expect from MarsYou will work in a multicultural environment (more than 40 nationalities) and where your dog will be welcomed by more than 100 associates’ dogs at the officeYou will work in a unique campus with facilities including international HQ, a French subsidiary, laboratories, a kennel and a cattery with many cats & dogs, and a significant factorySince 2015, no waste to landfill is made by the Royal Canin factoriesAll Royal Canin products manufactured in Europe are ISO 14001 certified from design to factory gate#proudlymars #tomorrowstartstoday #J-18808-Ljbffr
