Context Within S&EM, the Risk Expertise Center’s (EC Risk) purpose is to advise and help the Business Platforms optimise their activities while ensuring compliance with rules and limits, and to manage, monitor and control the risks that S&EM faces globally in its commercial and energy management activities. Operating within S&EM, the Engie Global Markets entity (EGM) delivers risk management services for Engie Business Units, develops its own commercial franchise and provides a centralised access to the Commodity Market for other S&EM entities. It operates under a regulated framework and is audited by ACPR (French prudential supervisory authority). Following ACPR audit, a new Market Risk team has been created within the EC Risk to strengthen governance and processes around EGM and allocate resources to meet regulated standards. Market Risk Team Responsibilities Build risk frameworks aligned with EGM strategy. Provide comprehensive risk views and implement risk frameworks. Deliver regular risk analysis reports and suggest action plans. Review and adjust risk assessment frameworks. Ensure adequacy with capital requirements. Maintain efficient relationships with supervisory bodies (ACPR, external and internal auditors). Provide risk support to other Global Business Units. Role Overview As a senior market risk analyst, you will report to the head of Market Risk EGM and work within a team of 4 collaborators. Daily Responsibilities Produce, certify and analyse the different risk indicators of EGM while monitoring and reporting breaches. Produce detailed analysis on exposure evolutions. Challenge Front Office strategies. Address limits extension. Key Expectations Participate in new product validation. Elaborate and develop tactical tools allowing relevant and continuous improvement of risk metrics. Interact proactively with different risk teams to ensure adequacy between risk models and metrics (Risk Methodology team, Risk Analytics, Capital performance, Group Risk Control, etc.). Participate actively in EGM market risk mandate building. Hard Skills Strong understanding of financial derivatives. Strong understanding of risk metrics (VaR, Stress Tests, ...). Proficiency in risk assessment modelling. Ability to code in Python. Hands‑on experience handling large datasets. Nice to Have Knowledge in regulatory requirements and best practices. Knowledge of energy markets. Soft Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. Effective problem‑solving abilities. High integrity and ethical conduct. Team player. Education & Professional Background Master’s degree. Above 4 years of relevant experience in a market risk position, ideally in a trading or banking environment.
