Industrialisation Phase Is Crucial For Our Development Demonstrate reliability on client sites Cut the robot cost in half Obtain CE certification for our robot Qualify a supply chain ready to scale You Will Work Directly With Our CTO on the technical roadmap and performance objectives (COGS, reliability, certification, TRL). Our CPO on manufacturing, supply chain, and partners. Our CEO on strategic and financial arbitrations. Key Responsibilities Technical management & partners Supervise collaboration with our suppliers (build follow-up, FAT, mechatronic integrations, quality). Ensure consistency between remote R&D work and the overall product roadmap. Lead the system maturity ramp-up: TRL3 → TRL7. COGS reduction (Cost of Goods Sold) Lead the Design-to-Cost strategy: identify and activate optimisation levers on mechanical, electronic, and compute subsystems. Arbitrate technical and investment choices with the founders. Make or Buy strategy with the founders Initially analyse and structure production options: what can be internalised and what must remain externalised. Challenge and lead the Make or Buy strategy with the founders at the different product maturity stages. Build economic models and associated ramp-up plans. Certification & industrialisation Lead CE certification planning (safety, EMC, machine marking…). Structure validation plans (FAT, SAT, EHS) and the associated technical documentation. Define and track assembly ranges, in-assembly tests, and intermediate controls. Prepare and qualify assembly factories. Implement quality procedures: traceability, non-conformity management, CAPA. Governance & coordination Ensure synchronisation between R&D, industrialisation, and field teams. Structure monitoring tools: roadmap, build sheets, product versioning, documentation. Report risks, arbitrations, and key decisions to the founders. Responsabilités clés Superviser la collaboration avec nos fournisseurs (suivi des builds, FAT, intégrations mécatroniques, qualité). Assurer la cohérence entre les travaux R&D déportés et la roadmap produit globale. Piloter la montée en maturité du système : TRL3 → TRL7. Mener la stratégie Design-to-Cost : Identifier et activer les leviers d’optimisation sur les sous-ensembles mécaniques, électroniques et compute. Arbitrer les choix techniques et d’investissement avec les fondateurs. Analyser et structurer initialement les options de production : ce qui peut être internalisé et ce qui doit rester externalisé. Challenger et piloter la stratégie Make or Buy avec les fondateurs aux différents stades de maturité produit. Construire les modèles économiques et les plans de montée en cadence associés. Piloter le planning de certification CE (safety, EMC, marquage machine…). Structurer les plans de validation (FAT, SAT, EHS) et la documentation technique associée. Définir et suivre les gammes de montage, les tests en cours d’assemblage et les contrôles intermédiaires. Préparer et qualifier les usines d’assemblage. Mettre en place les procédures qualité : traçabilité, gestion des non-conformités, CAPA. Assurer la synchronisation entre les équipes R&D, industrialisation et terrain. Structurer les outils de suivi : roadmap, fiches de build, versioning produit, documentation. Reporter les risques, arbitrages et décisions clés aux fondateurs. Profile 10 to 15 years of experience in managing complex industrial projects (robotics, special machines, mechatronics, embedded products). Has already taken a product from R&D to certification and mass production. Experienced in managing technical partners and industrial subcontractors. A valid work authorization in France is required for this position. Marso does not sponsor visa or work permit applications. Key Skills Industrial project management (cost, quality, schedule, risks). Design-to-Cost, DfX, industrialisation, CE certification. Deep knowledge of assembly, testing, and factory qualification processes. Solid technical foundations in mechatronics, electronics, and safety. Management of remote / multi-site R&D teams. Soft Skills Structured, demanding, and impact-oriented. Able to simplify complex systems and prioritise under constraints. Field pragmatism and execution leadership. Excellent communicator, able to align engineers and industrial actors around a common plan.
