What You’ll Do
As a Driver for Doug Ashy, you’ll be the face of our team on the road and at job sites. You’ll safely deliver building materials, make sure everything is loaded right, and provide great service to our customers.
- Deliver building materials to jobsites and unload them safely and accurately.
- Pull, load, and secure materials on the truck before hitting the road.
- Make pickups as needed, including credits from jobsites — restock materials properly.
- Complete all delivery paperwork to keep jobs running on time and organized.
- Maintain driver logs and delivery records per DOT regulations.
- Keep your truck in top shape — report any maintenance issues right away.
- Assist yard personnel and customers as needed — we’re all part of the same team.
- Communicate with the dispatcher about deliveries, delays, or issues on the road.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager to support the success of the team and business.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid CDL (Class A/B). Class A license preferred.
- Millwork knowledge preferred
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- 1–3 years of truck driving experience required.
- Experience in the building materials industry is a plus but not required.ss
