We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Project Manager to join our team at Volvo, responsible for leading and coordinating purchasing activities in projects related to electrified urban logistics. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a Joint Venture creation, bringing your passion, experience, and startup mindset to move forward with a more sustainable environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate purchasing activities in projects, ensuring timely delivery of purchasing deliverables with agreed quality, cost, features, and technology.
- Represent the purchasing function and actively contribute to the Project Management Team.
- Manage sourcing requirements, contribute to sourcing framing and commodity strategy, and frame volumes and budgets with stakeholders.
- Communicate with Alliance Purchasing Organization (APO) to source, budget, and milestones.
- Monitor Alliance Purchasing Organization (APO) to achieve expected Quality/Cost/Delivery Performance (QCDP) throughout the project.
- Coordinate development performance through the development phase to meet milestones and reach best price at the Start of Production.
Engineering, Quality, Program, Costing, Industrial, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and any other internal customer for Non-Automotive.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Understanding of purchasing challenges through experience from working in purchasing and/or development projects within automotive.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in purchasing in operational positions and/or purchasing project management.
As a Purchasing Project Manager at Volvo, you will have the opportunity to work on a Joint Venture creation, bringing your passion, experience, and startup mindset to move forward with a more sustainable environment. You will be part of a diverse team looking to create a future company that will grow to 100+ collaborators over the next six months.
We aim to make this project raising significant investments and reach rapidly a significant size with sales in excess of 2Bn. We are thinking big and fast. We will operate at the junction between electric vehicles and the digital world.
