We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer (m/f) for our Commercial Aircraft division to become a part of our Quality Assurance Department in Avionics & Simulation.
This department is responsible for the design, development, production, and support of critical software systems integrated into Airbus aircraft, including Flight Control, Flight Warning, and Air Traffic Management systems.
The mission of this department extends to providing expert guidance within Airbus regarding equipment development, including technical assessments, financial evaluations of external proposals, and consulting for aircraft programs.

Your Responsibilities:
As a Software Quality Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the quality and certification of software throughout its lifecycle, including development, production, and addressing in-service issues, with a focus on compliance with relevant avionics software standards (e.g., DO178C).
- Collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders, including software teams and subcontractors, to uphold the quality of Avionic Equipment, working closely with Program Management, Architecture, and Electronic Product Development.
The role involves delivering a comprehensive Quality Assurance plan for Avionics Products, ensuring quality surveillance activities are effectively managed.
You will also be responsible for compiling the Quality Assurance Dossier, which details the maturity of the delivered Avionic software standards, including quality evidence and performance metrics related to key indicators such as non-conformities and test coverage.
Your Qualifications:
A solid background in quality assurance for software development in an industrial context is essential.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are crucial for leading and supporting the development team in complex projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, fostering understanding and motivation within the team is required.
Experience with business improvement tools, quality principles, and configuration management will be advantageous.
Proven experience in managing quality projects and familiarity with APQP or similar methodologies will enhance your candidacy.
