Head of Renewable Energy Finance and M&A Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Renewable Energy Finance and M&A to join our team at Green Recruitment Company. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leading all project finance-related workstreams and M&A activities for Green H2 and Power-to-X projects globally.
Key Responsibilities- Market Sounding and Relationship Building: Communicate with potential lenders to build strong relationships and sound the market to identify potential financing opportunities.
- Financial Optimization: Look for ways to optimize project finance structures and funding options to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Contract Negotiation and Due Diligence: Assist the business development team in negotiating project contracts (PPA, EPC, O&M) and ensuring their bankability, as well as overseeing the due diligence process (technical, legal, insurance, tax & accounting).
- M&A Coordination: Coordinate M&A efforts (preparation of marketing materials, modelling, negotiation of contracts, execution, etc.) at the project and/or corporate levels.
- Education: Master's degree in economics, finance, or engineering.
- Experience: 7-10 years of experience in project finance and/or project M&A in the energy sector within banks, investment funds, and/or energy companies and developers.
- Language Skills: Fluent in English and French, with experience working in multi-cultural environments. Spanish is a plus.
- Financial Analysis and Modelling: Strong financial analysis and modelling skills, with a deep understanding of the financing of complex infrastructure projects.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborative and engaging team member with good communication skills and a pragmatic approach, capable of advancing multiple work streams simultaneously with autonomy.
