About the SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI)

The SKEMA Center for Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) is an interdisciplinary initiative focused on exploring the opportunities and implications of artificial intelligence for the management of organizations, industries, and business ecosystems. SCAI aims to investigate the economic, societal, and ethical value generated by Human Centric AI Systems for Business as well as to develop and enhance AI techniques and algorithms to solve specific business problems.

Research Directions
  • The use of machine learning (e.g., predictive modeling and reinforcement learning) to find optimized solutions.
  • The development of decision-support tools that combine data-driven models with knowledge-based models.
  • The exploration of how AI-enabled networked platforms are transforming business practices, fostering new business models, and shaping emerging business ecosystems.
Responsibilities

The candidate will be expected to:

  • Produce excellent research.
  • Teach undergraduate and/or graduate level courses in AI applied to Management.
  • Contribute to student mentorship.
  • Participate in projects related to the SKEMA SKY25 corporate strategy.
Qualifications
  • A PhD in Management or related disciplines (with orientation in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Robotics) or a related area.
  • An interest and experience in the operational as well as strategic aspects of digital transformation.
  • The ability to merge fundamental theoretical knowledge with practical relevance and to build and maintain sustainable relationships with practitioners.
  • A strong interest to invest in the research focus on Artificial Intelligence and Project Management.
  • The ability to teach, shown for instance by experience or assistance in teaching and positive evaluations of these teaching efforts.
  • Excellent communication and mastery of the English language.
