Lead Project Coordinator (x/f/h)

Your Opportunity: As a Lead Project Coordinator, you will report to the Head of Internal Consulting & Project Delivery – Business Unit and be part of the AXA IM Global COO department.

The Project Management Department aims to support AXA IM in its transformation journey regarding organization, corporate strategy, customer journey redesign, and various other challenges.

The team responsible for 'Internal Consulting & Project Delivery – Transversal Functions' focuses on identifying and supporting projects with AXA IM's transversal teams, particularly in Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement project management methodologies and common project management tools.
  • Ensure that appropriate action plans and timelines are defined and executed accordingly.
  • Act as a coordinator for experts and stakeholders involved in the project.

The Lead Project Coordinator is accountable for managing and executing projects and solutions within their scope. They serve as the primary contact for the business team whose projects they oversee.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Overseeing the management and execution of projects outlined in the annual project plan agreed upon with sponsors, in line with prioritization processes and the design of the future Operating Model.
  • Ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and deliverables as defined in the project scope document.
  • Organizing and facilitating steering committees and dedicated team meetings.
  • Collecting, analyzing, challenging, and formalizing business needs regarding customer processes and data availability, with or without the assistance of business analysts.
  • Describing potential solutions, including associated costs, delivery dates, and key milestones.
  • Drafting relevant functional specifications.
  • Providing monthly reports on budget consumption and forecasts through internal governance bodies.
  • Regularly monitoring and reporting on project progress in working groups, meetings with sponsors, team meetings, and company updates.
  • Adhering to project governance methodologies and principles of AXA IM.
  • Managing and mitigating key issues that arise, keeping stakeholders informed of new developments.

Cross-Functional Activities:

  • Enhancing the skills and awareness of project management among team members and business units, particularly through contributions to the PM Academy training program.
  • Maintaining the use of defined tracking methods to ensure the appropriate level of practices and skills among team members.
  • Collaborating with other Project Managers to promote experience sharing and field feedback, as well as fostering synergies among them.
  • Contributing to the optimization of resource allocation based on needs.
  • Participating in mission planning and ensuring their success.
  • Promoting best practices in Project Management within AXA IM by capitalizing on successful initiatives, both internally and externally.

Your Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher, ideally in business or a related field.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Significant experience of at least 10 years in project management and organizational transformation (within a company and/or consulting firm) in an international environment.
  • Professional experience of at least 15 years in areas such as Middle Office, Trading, Illiquid Products, Real Assets, Structured Products, Private Assets, Risk Management, or Compliance related to asset management.
  • Recognized expertise in methodologies, project management, and communication.
  • Experience in managing teams and project collaborators on strategic and impactful issues within the organization.
  • Prior management experience in a challenging, international, and multicultural environment.
  • Level of maturity and seniority sufficient to present and defend project results to AXA IM's Management Board.

  • Professional proficiency in French and English.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
