Senior Radar Systems Engineer

NXP Semiconductors is expanding its System and Application team to enhance its Automotive Radar expertise. We are seeking 2 RF System Validation Engineers to establish this new team and facilitate the development of future generations of RADAR transceivers.
Your Responsibilities- Design and implement system validation benches and measurement conditions
- Develop automation software for validation
- Execute validation plans in coordination with cross-functional teams, including:
- Radar conducted and "over-the-air" measurements in the EHF band
- KPI MCU measurement
- System Software integration & validation
- Validate radar companions ICs (PMIC, SGMII IC, CAN IC,...)
- Demonstrate NCAP application scenarios using sensor demonstrators
- Understand and utilize radar processing delivered by Software teams (FFTs, CFAR, antenna calibration, DoA,...), and propose innovative algorithms
- Support customers in platform development and use of our chips
- Participate in application notes redaction
- Support the S&A team to enable system test cases
- Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- ~5+ years' experience in relevant industry
- Knowledge of high-frequency & MCU digital measurements techniques and related parameters
- Automotive RADAR system practical experience
- Experience in lab instrument automation would be beneficial
- Embedded software and digital skills
- Familiar with programming languages (C, Python, Java, Matlab)
- Knowledge of FMCW radar signal processing (FFT, MIMO coding, antenna calibration, data visualization)
- Fluent in English language both oral and written to work in an international environment with colleagues around the world
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Open to new ideas and have a creative attitude
- Taking initiative to spot and implement improvements
