Are you passionate about developing innovative solutions for advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior RADAR SW Application Engineer to join our team at NXP Toulouse.
Your Responsibilities- Develop software for Hardware-in-the-Loop measurements
- Write code for automated data capture of radar raw data through SoC FPGA or NXP MCUs
- Define and develop automated system validation benches
- Validate new versions of Hardware (ICs, Boards, interfaces) and Software (API, GUI, Radar SDK) to find possible bugs (HW or SW) and optimize system performances before release to customers
- Perform advanced processing algorithms to find limitations/imperfections in hardware or software in advance compared to customers, and optimize system performances
- Executing validation plan in coordination with cross-functional teams conducting: Radar conducted and "over-the-air" measurement in the EHF band, KPI MCU measurement, System Software integration & validation
- Demonstrate NCAP application scenarios using our sensor demonstrators
- Understand and use radar processing deliver by our Software teams (FFTs, CFAR, antenna calibration, DoA,...) and purpose innovative algorithm
- Supporting our customers for their platform development and use of our chips
- Participate into our application notes redaction
- Support the S&A team to enable it to run system test cases
- Master's/Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic engineering
- 8+ years' experience in relevant industry
- Familiar with programming languages (Python, C, C++) and signal processing SW (Matlab, Numpy, Simulink...)
- Automotive RADAR system practical experience
- Autosar skills
- Knowledge on FMCW radar signal processing (FFT, MIMO coding, antenna calibration, data visualization)
- Knowledge on high frequency & MCU digital measurements techniques and related parameters
- Familiar in real-time multicore debug
- Familiar in digital design of MCUs and SoC FPGAs
- Experience with Lauterbach debug and scripting is a plus
- Experience in lab instrument automation would be a benefit
- Fluent in English language both oral and written to work in an international environment with colleagues around the world
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
- Open to new ideas and have a creative attitude
- Taking initiative to spot and implement improvement
