Senior Application Engineer f/m

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Engineer to join our Radar-MME business line at NXP Toulouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing software for hardware-in-the-loop measurements, writing code for automated data capture of radar raw data, and defining and developing automated system validation benches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop software for hardware-in-the-loop measurements
  • Write code for automated data capture of radar raw data
  • Define and develop automated system validation benches
  • Validate new versions of hardware and software to ensure optimal system performance
  • Perform advanced processing algorithms to identify limitations and imperfections in hardware or software
  • Execute validation plans in coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrate NCAP application scenarios using our sensor demonstrators
  • Support customers in platform development and use of our chips
  • Participate in application notes redaction
  • Support the S&A team to enable system test cases
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in relevant industry
  • Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C, C++) and signal processing software (Matlab, Numpy, Simulink)
  • Automotive RADAR system practical experience
  • Autosar skills
  • Knowledge of FMCW radar signal processing (FFT, MIMO coding, antenna calibration, data visualization)
  • Knowledge of high-frequency and MCU digital measurements techniques and related parameters
  • Familiarity with real-time multicore debug
  • Familiarity with digital design of MCUs and SoC FPGAs
  • Fluent in English language both oral and written
